Empanada

Empanadas are a popular snack in Argentina and in other parts of South America. These delicious pockets of dough are stuffed with a variety of fillings, the most common being ground beef, raisins, and eggs or chicken and olives. They are then baked or fried and are often served with a variety of dipping sauces.

Curanto

This traditional Chilean feast dates back thousands of years. Seafood, meat, potatoes and vegetables are placed in an earthen pit lined with hot stones. The food is then covered with leaves and a fabric covering and left to cook. This ultimate one-pot meal is usually served family-style at parties and celebrations.
